I think Sunday Mark :-)

Hiya , more than welcome to come along and join in on the Sunday if you wish , if you get to the Aquadrome around 10 am people should have surfaced and be reasonably awake ( some those who have camped on Sat night may be a little fragile but tend to have shaken off the previous nights socialising by mid day  :icon_mrgreen:). If when you arrive you tell them you are looking for the AACI event you should get directions to the show field, but we are normally easy to find , plenty to see and do and at £10.00 for the whole day pretty good value for money.

There is always a chance if your jeep is impressive that you might even walk away with a trophy , A Jeep from the stand won one at the spring nationals so would be great for the club to walk away with another  :icon_king:

Thank you Pete for the map , just need an OS overlay now to help work out a route lol ( getting there).,,,, So possibly if I have time there(((( MIGHT)))) be a trip out around the lanes  of Either Nth  Beds or Northants,,,...,, Word is , the more the merrier for the Late Summer Nats , so we still have some space if anyone else fancies a weekend of doing little and relaxing whilst being surrounded by American muscle cars , classic cars , and of course some of the neatest jeeps in the UK  :great:

The Weekend is getting closer and I am no nearer getting the lanes sorted  ( Sorry  :icon_redface: ) The guys at the AACI will be wanting to know how many Jeeps we have coming so that they can work out a space for us  , I note that a couple of Jeepers from Facebook have said they wish to attend so it looks like e are up to around a dozen a day , IF YOU ARE STILL THINKING OF COMING BUT ARE STILL TO DECIDE  PLEASE COULD YOU LET US KNOW BY EARLY AUGUST , PLEASE..

Last time we attended Billing in the Spring , 15 cars per day booked and I think we had 23 - 25 cars per day over the weekend  which was ok as there was space ,, the Late Summer event is a lot busier and there WILL be less space , if any spare space at all

Saturday is a possibility if there's room for another? What time would we need to be there and I'd assume once in, you'll not be able to leave until when?

Hi Patrick There is no real restriction as to when you leave , Saturday night is the Illuminated Hot air  balloon lift off around 9 PM is you can stay that late ( I think I saw a club member say that he was going to pilot one of the balloons possibly. I would suggest that any time up to mid day would be ok to arrive , dependant on how much time you want to spend at the event, would suggest around 10 am would be about the ideal time , yourselves and  your Orange 2 door would be a great addition to the club line if you can make it  :great:

Looks like it is shaping up to be quite a display of Jeeps and for those who have good memories I might have news about the 4x4 site adjacent to the Aquadrome , A superb off road course with a long standing and good reputation which rumour had it was not longer used is still available so hopefully the club can organise an event at this super venue in the not too distant future and could well mean that during 2015 we can combine a visit to the site During the weekend of the AACI shows , if it works out that we can then the club has some really great weekends coming in the future fingers crossed.

One year, many years ago, wasn't it the Southern Jeep Jamboree site? They started up near Sheffield, then split it into two, North, near Tong (Bradford) and South. Only once south, then just the Tong site for a few years until it get too expensive to run, and Mark Askew stopped running it.

These days the Jeepey.com club host their Jeepey Jamboree there (NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!!!) so go and play....great site!

Mark,

I don't see a TJ in the lineup for either day.....

If there's space, I guess I'll just have to bring a proper Jeep along then!  Both days please chap, with camping.

Yes you are very welcome to bring it along , be nice to meet you and you can get to know a few of the guys on the forum ( names to faces etc ) . If you are booking camping be sure to mention the AACI show and use the password CHEVELLE  to get a discount on the weekend Look forward to seeing you there  :great:  , Would advise booking ASAP if you are camping .
