V
Welcome. Once you have got used to putting the 4-door soft top up and down there really is no need to have a hard top. I am 5'7" tall and found it easier to stand on the rear seat to put the roof up and down on my own by pushing it down and pulling it up over my head. If you are over 6ft you can just stand in the rear foot well. Initially I used a rolled up dog bed to distribute my body weight over a greater area of the seat springs. A stout board with rounded edges worked better. I used a supermarket shopping bag for a while to stand on to keep the seat clean but I eventually settled on an old car mat as it was easier to determine clean side and dirty side. Both board and mat got stowed under the rear seat for easy access. Video of how to drop and raise a JKU soft top.

jeepstertim
I ran both on my 2013 JKU, in spite of the fact the freedom panels leaked in the rain. I don't know which type of roof you have gone for, but the heavier twill (mine was Bestop) tops are fab and can be raised and lowered without the need to clamber in the vehicle. Quiet too.
