Platinum Member Oldernotwiser Posted March 4, 2020 Platinum Member Share Posted March 4, 2020 Hi Hope someone can help - Grand Cherokee 2,7 CRD Limited - Running great but then became difficult to start (would start once , run, then stop and not start again). Called RAC out and P0340 found so sensor replaced but no change. Changed fuel filter and car started, ran then stopped - fuel filter empty! Refilled filter and same again. Before I spend a fortune getting a garage to sort it has this happened to anyone before or can someone suggest the next step to take? Thanks
Platinum Member Fourpot Posted March 14, 2020 Platinum Member Share Posted March 14, 2020 (edited) https://www.autocodes.com/p0340_jeep.html not a diesel owner, but not sure how this error code relates to the fuel filter? Is the fuel pump working okay, or the wiring to the pump? Hope this may help anyway... Edited March 14, 2020 by Fourpot
Jules
As you already know.....P0340 is a problem in the Camshaft position sensor circuit. A problem “anywhere” in the “circuit” has been detected. So the all components need to be checked relating to that “circuit”. Sensor....Wiring harness .....connectors.....PCM..........
