VIP Member Hecklejk Posted March 20 VIP Member Share Posted March 20 In an effort to declutter the jeep on weekend trips, I've set about to build another storage unit in the cargo area of the KJ. Step 1 was to remove all ove the bulky useless plastic trim that was taking up valuable inches of cargo space.. Step 2 was to carpet the bare metal with some van lining carpet (which looks so much nicer). Step 3 was to cut cut the hole into the boot door, fortunately the KJ already had some pretty large holes cut into the rear door (presumably to save weight) so I just combined these into one big hole and then lines it with carpet. Step 4 cut holes in door mounted shelt bracket and remount. Here is the finished product, not a huge amount of space added but it gave me enough to store my small table and all my camp lighting. 4
