Hi, does anyone know of a proved roof rack solution for the Rubicon JL with a sky one touch sun roof.

it’s great having the full electric sunroof but the only roof rack I can find is the Gobi which seems impossible to get in the UK.

Any ideas would be appreciated 🙂

can you buy it overseas and import it here, via Quadratec or other parts suppliers ?

Good point from Frosty but it may be expensive to import due to size.

Have you considered making one. Bear in mind, I don't know how practical you are!

I have made many roof racks for various jobs including two of my Jeeps! One full length and one roof length!  Its not difficult providing you have welding ability and a means of accurately cutting (chop saw) the box section required.  To finish you can paint it yourself or have it painted, galvanised or powder coated! One is able to make it as light weight or heavy weight as you like, whatever length/ design you need etc Any individual clips/fittings etc can be bought if needed.

As a small bonus the financial cost is relatively small.  The last one I made was for my KJ, so about 10 yrs ago! I recall the style I wanted wasn't available and what was, was  priced at around £800.  Mine was about £150!

If my idea is of interest, I'd be happy to post typical materials etc if that would help.

Ps Are you at Eckington , Worcs?

I work in IT 😂😂. I’m not the one to build a roof rack. I’d love to, but it’s not a safe choice. 😂

I’m in Eckington Derbyshire. Just south of Sheffield.
