VIP Member Hecklejk Posted January 17 VIP Member Share Posted January 17 (edited) Hello fellow Jeepers!! Recently joined the club and can't wait to dive in to the community here, seems like a great bunch. I knew nothing of this club until someone shared the sad news about Jim Olexa on a Facebook Group for Jeep Cherokee KJ's. I worked for Jim 12 years ago when I moved over from the US, he was a great guy, was really saddened to hear of his passing. I am Midlands based and own a 2007 Cherokee KJ Sport. It's been heavily modified with a 4" lift, new front control arms and rear adjustable track arms, updated suspension, snorkel and ARB front bumper with Rhino winch. I have several more mods in the works including a custom storage system for the back including gulwing windows to replace the useless 3rd row windows for side access, a custom rear bumper with swing out tyre carrier and mounts for jerry can, high lift jack and maxxtrax. I've been offroading for most of my life, my first off-road vehicle was a 1975 International Scout II, it was a beast, still have it in the family infact (Just back in the US). Since then I've owned various other off-road trucks or SUVs but never had the opportunity to own a Jeep, well that all changed last year when I took the leap into Jeepland and I've been in love ever since!! I know most people don't think the Cherokee (Liberty where I'm from) is a proper Jeep, but man this thing is a beast!! Looking forward to being a member of the UK Jeep community!! See you out there! VIP Member TimC Posted January 17 VIP Member Share Posted January 17 Welcome. That is a fantastic KJ you have…….and of course it’s a proper Jeep. We loved our KJ and were sorry to see it go, always had a bit of a hankering to get another. I love that roof tent
