Hi, I’m new to this forum but m sure I’ll be seeking out some useful advice as I currently have a 78 cj5 that will need  a bit of attention in the near future and a 2015 jk that I’ve got a current problem with that I can’t seem to find a part for ( I guess most people come here when they are in need!)

I’ve previously found forums a great place to share knowledge so am looking forward to asking advice and getting ideas.

my current predicament is that I can’t seem to source a front n/s coil spring for my jk 2door 2.8crd. I’ve tried the breakers and jeepey (Who was super helpful - explained that they were literally swamped with the things that they had taken off lift kit installs – but having recently moved premises literally scrapped them all)

so I thought I’d ask if anyone had any for sale as my next stop is to get one made which will be about three weeks off the road. Unless anybody has any good advice about importing from the US? Not something I’ve done before so I’m unsure if there are additional taxes to pay et cetera.
All advice and help appreciated. Cheers

😱

Does it have to be a stock spring?  If they're that hard to find would it be cheaper/easier to just buy a new set from one of the large resellers in USA?   Or even a small mild lift kit?

Have you got a Mopar part number?

Is this the kind of thing you need?

Welcome to the club!

Hopefully you can source springs in the UK. If not, you can also try RockAuto and use the club discount code (see club supporters for a variety of discounts)

Morning all thanks for the reply’s- I tried Ac in lancs but no joy.

the part number is 52126512ac, I’m starting to think about importing from the US but might just hold on a day or two just to call around the guys who install lifts first. Ideally I want to keep it a stock spring rather than going taller.

That part is close! Thanks - Part I am replacing has the tag number 52126512AC

Had a look at Rockauto as recommended - correct part number but they are out of stock. It has a lift and level kit so could take off the front spacers and get 2” lift springs and new shocks I guess. Any suggestions greatly though!

Try Lighthouse Jeep. Not a Jeep dealership but one of the best places to get parts for classic Jeeps in the UK.
They sort of have a website - http://www.lighthousejeepparts.co.uk
Give them a call and if you don't get through first time then keep trying as they also run a farm.

Cheers Jim much appreciated will defo give them a buzz- in fact I’d forgotten about them have used them before for Cj parts

I'm really surprised a part for a seven year old vehicle can't be supplied by a main dealer.

Guy from Jeepey said they were all out of stock, I called Leeds dealership on Friday but no one’s got back to me yet… weekend I guess so hope to hear on Monday- can’t believe such a simple part is so hard to get 🙄

Great news-one of the main dealers has come up with the goods and only problem is I’ve got to drive and pick them up which is about 75 miles away but Hayhoe. Cheers for all the help, I’ll be asking more awkward questions about who’s best recommended for 4wd service specialists for my Cj. Got a problem with the selection box and works fine in two wheel Drive, but that’s for another day when I’ve saved up!

Hermes could collect the springs for you. All the dealer has to do is print the shipping label you email them and stick it to the box, Hermes does the rest. It will save you 150 miles, the fuel time and expense and probably cost lest than a tenner.
