Platinum Member Kim Harris Posted August 4, 2021 Platinum Member Share Posted August 4, 2021 Hi I've recently acquired a 1951 M38 which has been "sleeping" since 1958, it's in it's US Army paint and pretty much all there. The engine is stuck but only through disuse I hope. Mileage is 17,500 and I think it's genuine, there's also very little rust as it was stored in a dry barn. It has no paperwork at all but does have the chassis number on the dashboard plate. Can anyone help me certify it as genuine so that I can apply for a V5? Thanks Kim
Platinum Member V Posted August 6, 2021 Platinum Member Share Posted August 6, 2021 If it is a genuine US model they were only produced from 1950-1952. Export models 1953-1955. There are some email contacts at this link that may be more helpful. If you need a build date from a serial number you may find some help at the MVPA.
