Platinum Member digger Posted June 13, 2021 Platinum Member Share Posted June 13, 2021 Many thanks to all you organisers. This was a really fun day out with lots of new folks along with old friends. It was only small and right now that suited me. An old friend of mine came along . He's a real petrol head but had never been off road and knew little about our wonderful Jeeps. He was talking about getting one now!

Hats off to both the car and @Fireman Iain I kept eyeing up those rock steps, and I'm 95% convinced I could have got down them if I'd moved just one rock.... ....but common sense prevailed. It is my daily driver and it's got no underbody protection. That's why I parked it up at the end, else I think I'd have ended up trying it!! 3

The owner asked if I had any paracord to start the CAT dozer to extricate it. At the back of my mind I knew I must have but couldnt think where. Realised too late I had a tent with 3mm polyester covered dyneema guy lines - would have been ideal. Wasnt an issue at all... Just wanted a bigger spade in the back to give the poor guys trying to dig it out with that tiny one they had!
