The environmental cost of electric vehicles

I am all in flavour of hydrogen fuel cells or hydrogen internal combustion engines HICE. I drove the Toyota Miria 4 years ago, lovely to drive, but hated the look of it.
this is why I just traded my 2WD renegade 2017 for the 2016 Trailhawk version because I did not want the new hybrid battery version, so I got an 5 year old diesel.

I don’t agree with the way batteries are made/recycled or not. Fuel cells and HICE are the way forward.
on Orkney they are using wind and tidal to make green hydrogen for gas to gird and gas to power.
i’ll just have to wait for a hydrogen Jeep.

Agree with so many of the posts and hydrogen does appear a more practical solution.

However the research by CNW Market Research also looked at the issue of cradle to grave environmental impacts and the Jeep Wrangler scored very highly due to its relative simplicity to build, ease of disassembly and ability to recycle most of the parts and importantly most Wranglers keep them for a long time.

Therefore instead of buying an EV just keep a Wrangler running to be 'Green'
