Interesting. In 2002 the company I was COO at was going to re-launch the Peugeot brand into the US and manage distribution and dealer services. The the French then decided not to partake in the latest Gulf offensive no problem but it struck a nerve with the yanks and set emotions high (French fries were even referred to as American fries) so that re-launch got cancelled. Nice to see a comment in the article that they “should” bolster the Jeep brand internationally but we shall see along with another merger of equals.
