From Yulara we drove 270km to Kings Canyon and made our drive to Alice Springs via Mereenie Loop Rd (182km on the dirt) we Camped 2 nights just outside Alice Springs. We took day trip out to Ross River Resort https://rossriverresort.com.au and drove via a small part of the Binns Track! Here's a few pic's! Did you manage to climb the rock before the ban? Did you have to change your speedo to KPH? Whats wrong with miles? Unlike the UK Australia (and Canada) went metric we only half did it! I think we should have done one or the other to be honest either stick imperial or go metric? Luckily we have dual reading on the Speedo and the later JK's have a digital option too! But still on our UK set up it passes roadworthy test here as has both on the dials !

Your jeep looks lower; did you have to lower it to comply with inter state vehicle mod laws or is it just loaded down? No but It's Full of camping gear! I have to fit the AEV 3.5 lift Kit and 35" tyres and still then get an engineering report for roadworthy ! Needs it on the corrugations ! But even stock suspension just about handled it once you get up to the right speed! IMG_0840.m4v

Re your lift and engineering report Stuart, will that cover you for all states? Each State is different! So it covers you in your State where your Vehicle is registered so If you move you have to reregister the Jeep and get a roadworthy inspection ! Travelling Interstate is fine as You are registered in your own state like traveling in Europe I suppose !
