Platinum Member Volant165 Posted October 14, 2019 Platinum Member Share Posted October 14, 2019 Busy weekend. I was able to present the cheque to Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association. We raised £850 at our Summer Camp BBQ charity auction. YTD the Jeep Owners Club has now raised over £4K for our selected charities. Well done to our club members and supporters. When I toured the UWFRA facility with my wife, their honorary club treasurer came along. Chris, pictured on the left, was one of the first volunteers when this branch of Mountain Rescue opened in 1948. Leaving positive impressions and contributing back to the community where we enjoy jeepin'! Next up, Kielder Forest and funds raised for Mountain Rescue. See you there! Fireman Iain
Good effort from everyone involved. I’ve been a member of Woodhead Mountain Rescue on the northern edge of the Peak District for 18years. Running costs for many teams are upwards of 20 grand a year, so fundraisers like this mean a lot.
