Jeep Owners Club Summer Camp 2019

Recommended Posts

Jim

The 2019 Summer Camp took us to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Two days of cracking Green lane opportunities in the scenic Lakes District and Yorkshire Dales with  use of the legendary TONG, Parkwood Offroad Site.

Camping in our private section of the beautiful Mason’s Campsite with flat pitches and unobstructed views of the breath-taking Yorkshire landscape, including the dramatic Simon’s Seat. There is easy access to the River Wharfe for refreshing wild swimming and fly fishing.

Thanks to all for a great time. I hope Paul, Nova and the TJ got home OK - that was a lot of super sticky mud in the engine bay!

Even the clio ended up mudding just to get off the campsite.

Looking forward to catching up again soon.

My first event with the JOC for about 5 years and I could only take part on the Saturday at ParkWood.

Nevertheless I really enjoyed myself so I would like to thank Jim and all involved in organizing and helping out that day.

I had a good time in the morning following Cameron on the red and black routes. Shame that we lost him but soon after Paul, Cody and myself were grateful to be shown other challenging parts of the site by Brad.

In the afternoon I burnt my cooling fans fuses due to too many runs in muddy waters and I damaged my driver side door mirror against a tree but considering the weather condition it's only minor damage so it was worth the five hours drive from Kent.

I even managed to find a good man to give a good wash to my Jeep for a Tenner on my way to my hotel.

Likewise!  There was another SA guy in the club, but I haven't seen him for a while.

I recall there being a gentleman who was taking pictures. He had one of those professional cameras. He got a few actions shots so I was wondering if anyone knows who he is and how I can contact him for copies of the pictures

Raakhee,

I know Simon was taking pictures with a professional camera, I expect that was who you saw. He has not posted any on FB yet, so I expect he has not had chance to edit them just yet.

I’m sure he will put some up when he has time.

He would be the guy who interrupted the winch training for a shot.

Great day out!

First event with the club, lots of good vibes.

Did not have a chance to talk to everyone around, but I want to thanks to everybody for warm hospitality and high voltage emotions.
