Great day out never took many pictures, sadly I had to pull out at lunchtime due to the ac compressor/clutch deciding to go up in smoke ? thought the safest option would be to bow out while the going was good and head home in daylight just in case we lost the serpentine belt in the forest . happily dad and I got home without incident and the parts are ordered to rectify the fault .. 47686357_10211053227041561_7465984359791591424_o.thumb.jpg.7588b887e97cdf8fc2f8fa75804dbbb5.jpg48270829_10211053227481572_8485062782100701184_o.thumb.jpg.85857e535ed6fb00ac1bf4b314f5e24a.jpg47688856_10211053229241616_8824164163950477312_o.thumb.jpg.2863ac79b0aaca93ddfd26cd6d25a1c5.jpg

All, please see message from Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue team.

Hello Neal,

It was nice to meet you on Saturday and first of all I would like to pass on the thanks from all the team members of The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue team for coming up to Kielder and taking part in our event. We raised £2113 on Saturday and that goes a long way to raise the funds needed to keep the team going, we are all volunteers and rely on donations. So far this year we have had 134 incidents that the team has responded to and this takes a toll on the equipment we use and it is vital that we raise funds to maintain the level of cover that people expect from the totally free service we provide. The Kielder 4x4 Safari is a unique way to raise funds for the team and we thank you for your continued support.

Regards

Ian Hardy

Cracking day out - lovely breakfast to start the day, stunning scenery, and a soggy lunch break!

But no snow!  Shame, still always next year?

Thanks to the organisers and all participants.

Thanks for this roundup Neal - great to meet you and all.

My brother put together a laid back little video here:

Great to spend time at the hotel with Geoff and JerryG - my brother and Geoff are quite the double act!

Looking forward to the next event!
