First day we did Dry Lane which is Whinfell just north of Kendal, leading to Breasthigh Road which is Borrowdale to Bretherdale. The first pic is the ford with stepping stones over Borrow Beck at the start of Breasthigh going West to East, Breasthigh is awesome and the ascent up Borrowdale Edge was fantastic. Then we did Old Coach Road Ullswater going East to West ( second and third pics ). Second Day we took the ferry across Windermere and did Grizedale forest West to East ( third and fourth pics ) then down and a couple of nice lanes near Rusland and High Ickenthwaite on the way to High Nibthwaite at the bottom of Coniston to pick up Parkamoor ( last pic ) Some great lanes and perfect weather even though we cut it short. A few more pics, Dry lane through the Schoolyard! Breasthigh and lunch stop by the Breasthigh Beck, more Old Coach Rd, Grizedale and High Ickenthwaite. Pictures just do not do it justice I’m afraid.
