picked up an xj lately to turn into a pure offroad rig.

previous nutter has cut the roof and window section off from 4 inches behind front doors.

i went further and bobed the rear by 20 inches.

it is originally a diesel with dana 35 and 30 axles.after the bob job i am converting the rear to trailing arm coil springs and eventually to air shocks and removing springs.

the thing is there is no point in doing that to a dana 35 as the shafts arent up to the job of a locker 35 or 37 inch tyres and some extreme abuse

dana 44 is first to mind but i was thinking of something more like a dana 60

opinions please
