Hi all,

I was going to post this in My Jeep Build but seeing as I don't take possession of my 66  JKR until 1st September (ish) I thought it more prudent to post here :icon_e_biggrin:

I have started looking around at what bits and pieces I would like to modify on my Wrangler and came across these guys

http://www.derangedvehicles.com/    and this vehicle in particular

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/jeep/wrangler/deranged-wrangler-2-8-crd-blackout-edition/5088773?v=c

I like the louvered hood which, I take it, comes from a Rubicon 10th Anniversary Model and the front bumper.

I doubt deranged made the items as they look like a style company.

Does anyone know where to look to purchase items like this please, is there a list somewhere on the forum I should check out?

Any pointers would be great thanks.

Hi Tony

Louvred hood / bonnet is a Mopar part - available from your dealer or various aftermarket outlets in USA (Quadratec; Morris 4x4 for example). In UK Alex at Buzz Racing may have stock.

Front bumper is AEV - again readily available in the States OR in the UK try Jeepey or our friend Alex at Buzz Racing. Both Jeepey & Buzz Racing are club sponsors and a good source for Jeep mods.

Have fun when your Rubicon arrives :great:

Hi Tony, I got all my mods from Jeepey in Hull. I cannot speak highly enough of Andy, Mike and the team. Check out their website and on their Storm Jeep section which shows plenty of Wranglers with many different mod/set ups.

Thanks Darren, I'll take a look.

ANyone know if louvres in the bonnet cause an issue with water ingress to the engine bay please?

Hi Tony,

AEV bumper in that one but if interested I got

10a Bumper and Bonnet from Andreas at Fortec 4x4 for my wife's UK Rubicon.

Ships consignment on request. Got mine in 72 hours.

40K miles on my 10a. No issues with water over the bonnet that drains in. Seems the fan chucks more water in areas like pully/tensioners than anything dropping down from the bonnet.

Very interested Jim,

Any ball park figure on costs that you might share please?

10a bumper I will have to look at cost. Shipping was only £110 and that was for the steel bumper and bits. The recovery hooks alone must weigh 8 kilos each.

The bonnet has plummeted in price over the years. Down to about £675 I think.
