Some (more) advice please

So, having ordered my Rubi JK, I have been looking into the options I will NOT get by not waiting for the 75th anniversary edition and also what I might want if I go off roading. I have a few questions from this:

1. What is the best quality cheap soft top for a 2 door Wrangler? By cheap, I mean the soft top from Jeep is £3K, but it will only be on the car for the summer so I was thinking about a lesser but still good quality top.

2. Can someone tell me the standard underbody protection that a Rubicon comes with? I had a look under one at Horsham on Friday and that seemed to have quite a lot along the full length of the underside. Just wondered if this was standard.

3. Should I order off of the Jeep accessories book at a decent discount or are parts cheaper elsewhere to start with?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Ref soft tops I bought a Bestop supertop NX from the US (Morris4x4), fraction of the cost delivered.  Great top and almost as quiet as a hardtop.  They are currently honouring a warranty claim 3 yrs after I bought it.

Agree with Tim, the TrektopNX is a good Top at a fraction of the cost of the factory one. Mine is on 5 months of the year, May to September, would probably be fine all year round but I need the garage. so far no problems. Only issue with the trektop is its not 100% secure, but its a softop so never going to be.

As far as I know the Rubi comes with no significant underbody armour ( but I may well be corrected on that ! ) Do you really need it ? Depends on how many Rocks you intend banging it over.

Always worth a look around for kit rather than just go to Mopar, there really is a lot of good quality add ons available
