75th Anniversary Celebrations continue!

We have just had confirmation back from the event organisers so sign up is now open.

Last year was a great success and a lot of fun driving on the beach, watching multiple land rovers and range rovers get stuck and recovered, and talking to so many visitors interested in our club member's Jeeps.

BONUS:  As it is part of Jeep 75th Anniversary Celebrations, unlike the other car clubs the Jeep Owners Club have secured a stand closer to the main pavilion this year!

Attending members will also be invited to the Gala Dinner Friday night.  Details on that to follow.

Once gain the Festival will take place on 3rd, 4th, and 5th of June 2016.

We have room each day for 6 Jeeps on our allotted spot in the sand, This can be extended by another 2 vehicles who are prepared to go a little further into the sand!

All Jeeps need to be on the beach no later the 8.30am and will not be allow to move until 6pm. This is for Heath and safety reasons. All vehicles will be escorted on and off he sand by security at Walking pace.

Thanks Chris

Jeep UK will be there as well with "Jeep Beach" and a small obstacle course that you can drive their Jeeps on.

Thanks!  We would like to have a selection of Jeeps on our beach display Saturday and Sunday.  If you can attend either or both days let us know as the number will be limited given our great location.

I am lucky enough to live in Bournemouth and can confirm the wheels festival is an excellent weekend. I will be sure to visit the stand.

We're in for the Saturday, and probably Friday night too, if there's food involved. Can't believe it's a year since the last one.

Cheers, Gordon and Vicky

Good morning all,

Might be tempted to come down to this one. Will have to look for a campsite to take the motorhome.

I take it we take our Jeeps off the beach each evening?

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

MOre info to follow this afternoon when I have spoken with the organisers.

From what I know now any Jeep on the beach will need to be ready to go on at 8.30am each day and once on must stay stationary on the beach until 6pm for safety reasons. All Jeeps will be walked on by security at walking pace for safety purposes . Be good to see you there.

Update as soon as I have the info :great:

Should be a great weekend, Looking forward to enjoying the sun on the beach  :glasses:

Please confirm ASAP, Anyone around on Friday night then let me know and we should be able to get Gala Dinner tickets!

I'll be looking at a campsite nearby for the weekend (Friday/Sat night) If anyone else is also thinking this might be a good idea let me know and we might be able to all share a location/food and a little drink perhaps  :great:

Good morning all,

With regards to camping an easy way to find a location is via this site:

http://www.searchforsites.co.uk/

When you look there are a couple of campsites fairly near.

http://beaconhilltouringpark.co.uk/

Cheap but poor reviews.

http://www.southlytchettmanor.co.uk/prices/

More expensive but excellent reviews

Will certainly be there on Friday through Sunday.

Regards

Chris
