Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've had my 2000 Sahara for about 7 months now - loving it!

Can anyone recommend a 2" lift kit?

Plus, are there any events in Scotland this year??

Hi and welcome!

Think what we need to understand, is budget and what you planning to use the Jeep for

OME is one of the better lift kits out there, but you talking about £850+

I have a 2.5" Rough Country lift kit on my TJ (£400) for almost 4years now and no problem what so ever, and I use my TJ for off-road as well

The above kits include springs and shocks.  There also a budget boost kit, what is basically spacers you add to you springs, this will give you 2" lift for about £100

But do take your time to do research, asked on here and enjoy your TJ [emoji16]

Thanks Arno!

I'd like do to some moderate off roading, I just need to somewhere nearby me - I'm in Aberdeen! The OME certainly look the business, but are pricey. Something around £500 would be better as I've still got bigger tyres and new black wheels to buy.

With your rough country kit, did you have to drop the transfer case or make any other adjustments?

Thanks again!

Hi,

No, no need to drop the transfer case, the only other thing I done was a relocation bracket for the rear trackbar, only £25 from JeepeyMart

Oh and I fit disconnects, not needed but works a treat when you go off-road, it let the front  axle flex better to allow more wheel contact

Quick disconnect do work a treat, I used the rough country ones when i had a TJ, it makes a rutted track smoother to drive - stops the whole car dropping and let's the axle go further

I'm speaking on another feed about some post lift clunks, but hers are some pics of my TJ. Just got a soft top and some touching up on the front wings and I'll be good to go for summer!

Thanks for the tips.
