Had a fantastic day  , but I never realised how much behind the scenes planning goes into putting such events together , so special thanks to Jules and Stuart for making it such a memorable and educational day . We certainly enjoyed meeting everybody , and spending the day with our group out on the plains being professionally led by Jules ....all the best Gary & Jo.

Thanks all for a fantastic day out.  It was the first time Ruth and I had been together on a trip.  I somehow think that it will not be the last.  Special shout out to Jules who lead our group brilliantly and demonstrated ably the art of freeing somebody from the mud!  Chris and Ruth

I'm keen to know how you plan to clean your engine and bay.

Really enjoyed my first trip out with the club, with perfect timing the heavy rain washed most of the mud off on way home :icon_e_biggrin:

Thanks to all who organised the day and it was nice to meet some new people.

Just adding to what others have said........ BIG thanks to Stewart, Jules and everyone else involved in organising this trip, great fun and hope to do it again soon. Particularly appreciated the demonstration of recovery techniques by Stewart at lunch............ how to free small girls in wellies from the mud....not had to use that since AWDC days but always a useful one to know.

Cheers and thanks to all  :great:

Cleaning the engine bay is easy, I start the Jeep, let it idle for a bit to heat up, then pressure wash it whilst engine still running, try not to directing to much at the electronics, once done, kept it running / take for a drive to let it dry out!

You can't have been doing it properly Stewart! The colour of the JK is still clearly visible [emoji3].  I envy you all for the day out but I don't envy the clean up!  Laying on the drive jet washing the under carriage is SO much fun...

Copy that. A big thanks to everyone involved in organising the event. I brought so much of Salisbury home with me I'm thinking of opening my own pay-and-play on the driveway.
