Jeep Slogan for my XJ

My Cherokee XJ will soon be going to the bodyshop to have a full respray.

I know what I'm doing won't be to everyone's liking but the Jeep will be "aged" so to speak.  Lots of dents added first then several different layers will be applied so we can set about a patina or "fauxtina" finish can be achieved.  Finally the several large areas will be "rusted".

Now the point of the thread is I intend to have a slogan painted by a sign writter on the doors along with the 75 years logo or at least "since 1941" and that's where I'm stuck.

So far I have 3 main options

I Live, I Ride I am

It's A Jeep Thing

The Trail Never Ends

As it will take up almost 30% of the side of the XJ it's quite important to get right.

Any help in choosing one or other sensible suggestions are greatly appreciated.

This is the look I am going for its a mixture between the truck and the beetle in terms of finish, with the slogan style similar to the beetle.

I hope it will turn out with the attitude of this JK though

Yes, I believe it was back in the 90s, but most people will have forgotten that by now. Don't suppose they'd sue you if you nicked it. Nice dig at Land Rover!

Prep work has started, working on any rust or paint flake issues first. Full strip down tomorrow then for some rust treatment. Hopefully have it ready for the weekend but it will be tight.

You didn't do a bad job of changing the colour of your Jeep on Sunday though.......... :mdr:

The base layer of "rusty paint" is now on. Tomorrow it needs to be rubbed down until the metal particles are visible then masked off and ready for mid layer tomorrow evening.

Wow all I can say is massively underestimated the amount of effort required to sand down. So far 4 people for 7 hours with DA and by hand. Probably only half way through at this stage as well.
