Morning all,

What's the score with 35" mud tyres to fit 17" rims nowadays?

There seems to be nothing around online at all.

Anybody got any tyre contacts that have these?

Either Cooper, BFG, Mickey Thompson etc.

Cheers,

Daz

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the link, never seen those before, have they had good reviews?

I was trying to find Cooper,BFG'S or Micky T's but nobody has them anymore.

Not sure why??

I think there are a couple on the forum Jason and Chris that run these tyres

I read about them on website in the states in a tyre test came out and beat the top end brands.

I run 12.5 width MT Baja's on 8" AEV rims, they work well, the tires, and side biters save some of the damage to the alloys, and make them work on extreme side slopes.

Thanks for the replies guys. There are no UK stock of Cooper, Mickey T and BFG mud terrains from what i can see, plenty of AT's

I'll have to venture abroad lol

Give these guys a try . I was down there a couple of weeks ago and they had a warehouse full of MTs, mostly Coopers some Mickey Ts not so many General or BFG and up to 35s. Lots of rims too. Don't bother with the website though, they've just updated it and now it's crap, probably best to  phone 01582 585 845

Mmmm...... big Mud Terrains !

Not sure how your search for MT's is going Darren ...

The only MT online at present appear to be the Atturo - which was mentioned in a posting that has now "disappeared" - these are also available from who are normally a good source of 4x4 tyres.

Have you considered the new Cooper STTpro ??

I don't think the size you want is in the UK yet ... but I heard rumours that more sizes are due in March ... so may be worth the wait.

As to suppliers - I find that it is best to contact a tyre supplier direct ... rather than simply rely on the internet - and would recommend your local branch of PROTYRE (part of Micheldever group). They were really helpful when I was tracking down the new BFG AT KO2 recently.

Good luck ... the right tyre is so important :great:

Thanks for all the replies guys. Basically the only 35" mud terrain tyres for 17" rims are the Atturo's or the Renegade's. Everyone has sold out of everything else.
