So,

already checked the error code: P0300, so a general misfire.

Going to start by changing the spark plugs - 71K miles, distribution coil and wires. Any one ever done this (stupid question) and how difficult is it? Also, would you stick to the OE parts or upgrade, and if so, what to?

3.8L minivan engine.

Cheers,

Hugo

Just as an update to the initial post, after reading some forums and seeing some U-Tub videos I decided to follow the Lex parsimoniae...

Disconnected the battery overnight and voila! No more codes and it has been running fine ever since!

(Kept the date for replacing the spark plugs the same. Just in case!)
