:wav2 Just joined the forum hoping to learn more about Jeeps and try some green laning / days out. Mine's a 60th anniversary TJ Wrangler which I've had repainted with Raptor (Starwood in Texas call theirs Kevlar) and a Matt grey with black accents. The 20" Kahn wheels won't be going off-road!

Jonathon, that's a great looking Jeep.  :coolphotos:

Good to see someone else opting for the Kahn's.

I have 17s on mine and really like the look.

Lovely Jeep Jonathon.

That Raptor paint looks awesome.

Thinking about doing mine in all matt black.

How long did the paint job take? Any tips for an amatur having a go?

My mechanic did it while I was away for a week. He said it was a labour of love  :whip: The prep work took a couple of days, painting the raptor was another 2 or 3; I believe there are 2 coats of Raptor because I wanted an extra rough look; then the grey paint with matt lacquer.  He needed 10 days to complete it but we were waiting for the seats and for the wheel bolt pattern adaptors (the Kahn wheels have the later bolt pattern).

I'm pleased with the matt dark grey and black satin look, glad you guys seem to like it too. Cheers.
