I don't seem to be able to use Smileys. It doesn't matter what browser I use (Edge, Chrome) , when I click on a smiley it just doesn't get inserted in my post.

Any suggestions please?

Are you trying to use the ones from the browser or those that are coded in the diag box ? I don't think the browser ones work...

When you post above the diag box are some smileys etc which if you click add in the coding for that icon

i.e. : great : without the spaces = :great: these should all work when viewing using a browser but will not show up in some apps for forums like Tapatalk unless you use the web view

If I click on one the icons nothing shows in the post, not a visible smiley or a code

Very strange try writing the codes to see if that works : great :  without spaces .

Must be the browser you are using perhaps .....

I'll give it a try. Trouble is, I don't know the codes.

I have tried a couple of different browsers and it is the same. I just wondered if there was a setting somewhere. I am a member of a number of other forums and the smileys all work OK.

Works on safari and IE, not tried any others personally . I know there is going to be a forum software upgrade coming soon from what I've seen on other threads, maybe that might sort the problem
